Submersible Pumps

The bulk of the range of South Africa submersible, immersible and sewage pumps  are manufactured in South Africa. Spares are reasonably priced, no special tools are needed to service the pumps and off the shelf mechanical seals are used. Submersible units are cooled by external contact with the pumped media. Immersible pumps can run either dry or submerged. Commonly used for sewage and drainage applications.

Key Benefits

Vortex flow impellers are used in the non-clogging solids handling submersible pumps. The impeller always remains in dynamic balance and any solid entering the suction port will exit from the pump discharge port.  Solids handling ability from 40mm to 300mm. Commonly used in the 65mm to 150mm solids handling range.
Semi Open impellers, 2,3 & 4 bladed are used were better efficiency coupled with good solids handling is required.
Radial flow impellers are fitted for clear liquid applications. Pump casings are fitted with suction strainers.
Submersible motors can be fitted to any of our hydraulic ends with motors from 1.5kW to 185kW. Voltages 400v3ph50hz or 525v3ph50hz as standard.
Horizontal abrasion resisting submersibles available with 525v3ph50hz  7.5/11/22kW motors for mine slurry applications.
Choice of materials and configuration to suit the application. Submersible Pumps can be freestanding, mounted on a duckfoot or horizontal mounted on a base.
Adaptor duckfoot brackets can be  supplied to install EPS pumps into existing plants where clogging and high spares prices of existing pumps have impacted on viability.
